well I was in a fender bender earlier today and ####ed this guys rear bumper up....I then learned that my ABS sensor went out...my friend, who is a Ford Tech, said that when the ABS sensor goes out the brakes go for a few seconds and well you get the idea. I came to a red light and tried to stop...but no I slow down enough to not cause a whole lot of damage but I'm screwed and need a new front bumper!

I have never heard of an ABS wheel speed sensor failure cause the brakes to stop functioning, I installed a switch that disconnects an abs sensor to disable the system and have never had the brakes stop working when the switch is flipped.

that sux bout ur x

abs sensor mal would not make the brakes stop working. if so the feds would not allow abs on vechilce or there would be a recall
