A-pillar gauge pods?

do they make one for the explorer, or even a ranger? this would be so cool to have. i have found them for a 95-00 explorer and 93-97 ranger but nothing for the older ones like mine, would the 95-00explorer ones fit?

They do make them. I know RobbieJ has one. Dont know the manufacturer but do a search or look around on www.summitracing.com , www.jegs.com , www.carparts.com and you might find one

Its made by Autometer. You can check their website (autometer.com) for pics. They don't make one for early X's, but the later model one will fit with a little modding. Cameron has a dual pod on his truck. There's a pic in my thread "installing accessory gauges"

I used on for a 93 mustang it fits pretty good you just have to get creative to get it installed but it will work. Robbie J

The Autometer gauge pod for a '93 - '97 Ranger will fit a '91 - '94 Explorer - no modifications needed!

thats good, the 93-97 ranger dual pods are only like 32 dollars, now i just need to decide what gauges to get

Does anyone know if they make speedometers to go in those gauge pods? The rinky-dink 85mph speedometer would be cool if we could add an extra one that went up further. Let me know. Thanks.

Autometer's smallest speedometers are 3 1/8" and the gauge pods are 2 1/16" or 2 5/8". So a speedo wouldn't work in the Apillar pod. However, you could put it somewhere else. But you'd probably want a speedo in easy sight. Hmmm, how about a gauge mounting cup above the dash? or you could put the gauge cup right in the corner of the dash by the door, kinda where the Apillar pod would go, but mounted on the dash instead of pendant-like from the pillar. Just an idea....
