A4LD Locked up

I have a 91 explorer thats tranny is locked in drive now matter what postion I put the gearshift in. I think I may need a new valve body, whats your thoughts? Also if I do need a ne VB where can I pick one up?

Before I would assume that... I would check all my linkages. and if ok externally drop the pan and check the Z link. In the A4ld most shifting is controlled by moving the manual valve.... sounds like your is not moving. Find out why not or if it is, first.

Thanks for the idea. I know that my external linkage is fine. As I run thru the gears I know that the manual valve is binding. I freed it up but still no movement. Should I replace this valve next and if i need to what else will I need to replace at this time? Thnks for all your help.
 












Thanks I will give that a try. Do you know where the best place on the net to pick-up a rebuild kit? I will keep you up on the progress.
