A4LD shifting problem.

I have an 88 ranger ex with tow package tranny had metal shavings in pan changed filter put 50 50 mixed dexron and b and m trick shift fluid adjusted bands and replaced od shift solinoid having problems with slipping but constantly changes how bad scared to do complete rebuild I've rebuilt a lot of engines but this is a lot more than I've ever done with a tranny can anyone make any suggestions to what I need to do next also when let off the accelerator goes to neutral no drag in gears no forced downshift when placed in 2 or 1 thnx

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your post into its own thread in the transmission section. How many miles does it have? You could try to rebuild the valve body, replace the servos, and the modulator to start.
