The A4LD slips a bit when first started and drivin. After you reach opperating temp it is fine....What am I looking at???Valve body gasket, modulator or rebuild with new seals????I am guessing hard seals till it gets warmed up.....Also, if I need to rebuild, should I install the Shift kit from Trans-go????

Before rebuilding it, lets look at the basics. Did you check the transmission's fluid level when it was cold, then again when it was hot? The level could vary enough to feel some slippage. Check it on level ground. When was the last time the fluid, and filter were replaced? You could have a partially clogged screen (filter). Do you feel a 1-2 delay when it is cold? That could be an indication of a sticking governor. Does it slip in other gears besides 1-2? Did you check your vacuum line for any signs of ATF? You could have a leaking modulator? Do you feel like it is a little sluggish when it has accelerate? Check the adjustment of the kickdown cable. You could also adjust your bands if they were never adjusted in a long time.
