A4LD tranny problems

wish I had a place i could do this

Then put a pressure gauge on it. There is a lot more diagnosis you can do, but few seem to want to diagnose.... just find an easy fix or swap.

What hurts is I am used to doing all my own work. Trouble shooting and all. Now I can not for health reasons. I think I may have to get a gage as it could help but as some one said earlier I also believe the old shop change only what they had to and charged me for a full rebuild. The shop I have been talking to now thanks to another post is a member of the ATRA. He also thinks that they may have never changed the Tc and that it may have gone out from what I have told him. The other day started it up to try and see when cold and now I got nose clatter and rattle so shut it off and now going to be towed but thanks for all the help .I at lest feel I know a little bit now about the a4ld and what to ask for and know what there talking about it is not Greek any more

Let everybody here, and ATRA know after all this is done if you are happy with the work that shop has done for you. Tell them about this website.

O you can bet I will. If I find the shops name that did the last work I will post it also as a do not use one. This guy now and thanks to the info here I fell I at lest know what I am talking about he also seams to know this trany and what needs to be done to keep them going not just a replacement here and there. He also has a 1 year or 12,000 mile warranty or for some extra dollars a 2 year 24,000 mile warranty that alone says better shop as most are only 6 months or 6,000 the last shop was only 3 months or 3,000. but it was also the very first time I ever had to have an automatic worked on by some one other then my self and the most I ever did was change out the tc for a higher stall speed but ya I well let all know what I think
