A4LD Valve body removal QUES

im rebuilding my A4LD and i need to remove the valvebody should the tranny be faced with the valve body down so i dont loose the check balls ? and i removed all the valvebody bolts and something is holding it in place i dont wanto force it to remove any ideas thx ..

The gasket holds it in place. Carefully pull it out after removing the bolts. The valve body will not lose any check balls since they are internal.

there are 3 allen headed screws that hold the seperator plate to the valve body. no balls should fall out until until you take the plate off the valve body.
