if that is the case, then you should be on "adams phone" getting your issue resolved.....had you taken my advice, you wouldn't need a third party to "hold your hand" for you.

you will spend 50.00 on a tune file that you cant open??
but you wont spend 300.00 on the software that creates the tunes?

6 tunes at 50.00 and you've already spent the money the software would cost....Do you not see the flaw in this thought process?

i e-mailed adam, im just waiting for him to respond. i can open the files. i did when they were sent to my e-mail from adam. i just need to convert them.its been a while since i did that. adam will help out with that. i got 3 tunes from james for $400. the other 3 were from adam. i don't need the software to create tunes since i have no idea on how to tune them. i did respect him. i got the programmer with the tunes and loved it! i then just started to ask about some different tunes because i found out about data logging. and adam got ahold of me and we went from there. i sent a tune file that adam made to james back then just for his opinion. he didn't have to change or do any thing. i just wanted him to tell me if every thing looks ok. i mean $400, he could at least take a look. every one in the worl is always about getting money. adam did it as a friend. i don't expect james to give me the stuff free. but he made a profit. he could of just said no, im not comfortable looking at another sct dealers tune instead of going on forums and talking all this crap!

but any ways, enough with all the back and forth stuff. i mean we all could sit here all day and say this say that back and fourth. i don't have any thing against james. i will admit, he's well liked in here and respected. he knows his sh*t! i know a couple years ago when all that went down it looked bad on my part. i really wasn't trying to play dealers. i will admit maybe i was asking for a bit much. i tuned my explorer with james tunes and noticed a good difference. its not that i was un-happy. its just i learned about the data logging and thought by doing that, it wouldn't be as much of a guessing game. you would have all the data there in front of you to really dial the truck in. and im very grateful for adam doing all what he did. i mean if i had paid him for everything he did, it would of cost me probably $400-$500. we talked for hours all together and i sent him probably 5-6 data runs. and he tuned them each time. but enough with that. i love this site, and want to get along with everyone. i mean before all of this xlrvIII, i sent you a friend request. so as far as me getting a new tune for my device, im not sure yet. either adam will get ahold of me, or i need to figure out how to get them tunes on my cd's on my programmer.

SCT has free support its only a phone call away...

they have technicians on the payroll to address these issues...

Rather than trying to get someone else to help you for free, why not go to the source and use their free support?

i was only talking it because you 2 were. he started it, and you joined him. he bringing crap up from 2 years ago thats not even related to this. yea i mentioned his name just to say where i got the xcal-2 and the tunes from. he jumped in talking about all this old stuff and saying i want stuff for dree. i started this thread looking for advice and what not. i only insulted you because i felt like i was getting gained up on. you said something about me and taking a 10 foot pole or some crap.

yea i thought of that, but i went to sct website and checked updates for my device. i found one on 6-29-2009 called live load 3. so i downloaded and installed it. plug my device in the usb, tried to choose a ll3 file from the cd and it worked. so i put 2 tunes from james and the one i used from adam. case solved!

His "opinion" weighs heavily.

I was trying to help you because I figured James might have been "too busy" to put forth the effort, or was too busy to give the required attention that this deserves..or whatever..

Then I see James' side of the story, which is coming from a credible source, a trusted member of this community..hell yea my attitude changed..and for good reason.

I've got alot of SCT dealer friends, good friends James isn't one of them..though. The thing James describes here is echo'd by many of my SCT dealer friends. I support those guys...they are my friends.

I dont know James "from adam" {pun intended} but I do know that james is trusted by folks that "I" trust explicitly..(see sig file)

yea i understand completely. when i see people asking about how to get more power or asking about chips and tuners, i always reply(if some one hasen't already) get ahold of james at henson performance. im not saying james is lieing. its just the whole thing isn't what it turned out to be. i see how they thought i was trying to get free tunes because i asked every sct dealer about tunes back then. but thats really not what my intentions were. so lets just put all this behind, and go on with our lives.
