ABS & 4x4 lights

Ok so this winter, along with last winter I've had a problem with the ABS. I even took my problem to a Ford Truck Service Center and they were unable to find anything wrong with it, so I'm soliciting advice from you all.

It seems that every winter I have this problem, and it seems that it happens when the roads get slick. The ABS light comes on (and the ABS stops working) and won't turn off. The 4x4 light will flash with no specific interval of time.

Last spring when the weather warmed up, the ABS problem fixed itself and I had no problems with it until this winter showed up.

Anyone have a similar problem?

I would say its an issue that has to do with the sensors...either the ABS on the wheel and/or the speed sensor on the TC..it also maybe a grounding issue with those sensors.

Those sensors checked out when they initially checked out my vehicle last winter.

what happens to cruise?
Most common in order,
I'd replace the master cyl switch first,
Rear ABS sensor on the diff
then the front wheel sensors.

Classic sensor problem, since its winter i'd inspect the connectors, make sure they are tight, open and look for water (ice), also inspect the wire harnesses.

I have had the SAME EXACT issues with the 05 that I just got. When going over bumpy/icy spots on the road the abs light comes on and the 4x4 light flashes for a little while. At the same time though the RSC light or whatever beeps and turns on. I guess turning the advance trac off? Very new to the Explorers so just trying to figure it all out. Let me know if you have any luck fixing the problem, I haven't gotten anywhere yet.
