Hi,
My ABS light is constantly on and I wanted to know how to troubleshoot this issue.
If you have some experience diagnosing this issue, I would appreciate some hints and tips.
Thanks in advance

can you get the code?? to get the code all you have to do is count the number of blink it has.. With mine, it was a sensor on the pumkin a $7 part from Napa.

Hi,
There is actually only one blink, I turn the ignition one, the light blinks once and then it is steady
also, what is the pumkin?
I am now cleaning a mess of steering fluid because I delegated the 60 000 mile check to a shop and they did not close the lid correctly.
Thanks.

A pumkin is the rear axle. There is a sensor just above the drive shaft. Sometime the gear oil get the sensor dirt, you could try cleaning it and it maybe just dirty. I've to replace mine cause the cleaning doesn't work.

Is your truck have all 4 wheels ABS? If not there may not be the sensor for your truck. I would then remove the ABS sensor from the front and clean the magnetic sensors. Majority of time, the dust from the break would cover up the sensor.

Oil leak is a mess, try simple green. It works wonders around oily stuff.

Thanks, I will check this as soon as I can. I do not know if it is 4 wheel abs, I will check if I have a sensor on the pumkin, if not I will check the front. Hopefully, it will be nice enough outside to check it this weekend.
Again Thanks

Hi,
I unplugged the sensor, same code, one blink on the dash board ABS light.
I took the sensor out, cleaned it. Same issue.
Next step is the Auto store for a $20 sensor.
ABS issue to be continued....
