ABS light

My explorers abs light came on and the battery died. I had someone to jump it off i let it run took battery cable off to see if it would still run it did so i turned it turn now will not crank back up again. while it was running it tried to take off without me pressing the gas i had to slam on brakes like it had a mind of its own. My husband is out of town and i dont know what to do please help.

Welcome to this forum! It sounds like there are several issues here. You have an ABS light, and it can't start. Did you try to get a boost? Maybe the alternator or battery are no good. Get it started then see if the ABS light returns.

we got a boost and my brother took the + side off the battery and it was still running. we let it run to see if battery would charge a little and tried to crank it back up and would not crank at all got another jump and the abs light came back on again. had the alternator checked it was fine

Load test the battery at an auto parts store to see if it's able to hold a charge.
