I have a “testing abs sensor” question. I have a 2003 Explorer. The abs light is on. Advance Auto and Auto Zone can’t read the abs codes, only “check engine” codes. Local place wants $90 just to diagnose problem. I won’t do that.
I want to be able to determine if sensors are good or bad. I have read numerous posts, watched numerous youtube videos and nothing describes my sensors correctly.
I have two pin front sensors. When I hook up a VOM, I get no resistance. Even spinning wheels shows no mw, ma, or resistance. I went to Advance and got a new sensor, it also showed no resistance.
I suspect this is some type of Hall Effect sensor and that I need a scope. (I can borrow one) I also probably need to input a voltage (but to which pin), then spin wheel to see if I get a waveform out of the other pin but am not sure. Has anyone done this?
