Ac compressor

Does the AC have any limits built into the compressor, meaning does it have to be a certain temp outside before the AC WORKS.

"The air conditioning can operate in all modes. However, the air
conditioning will only function if the outside temperature is about 6°C
(43°F) or higher."

The compressor should cycle on and off when selected for defrost even when bitter cold.

I don't hear it kick in at all checked clutch relay, jumped lp switch, she won't kick on. Just bought this truck as well.
