AC Dash Vents

I'm having a problem with my vent selector. No matter what position ( windshiels/Dash/Floor/Mix) it all blows out the windshieds vents (defroster) Ths works on hot and A/C. I can find and open manually the floor vents, But I can't find the Dash valve. It's going to be summer here in vegas, and I'm going to need those! Can anyone help? I wouldn't mind either fixing the vacuum problem, ( i looked almost eveywhere, and see no cracks) or even prop open the dash vents to get some cold air in my face! Thanks!

I should of searched for this problem earlier. It was a brittle black vacuum hose coming off of my "Ball" thing near the radiator fluid resivor. I replaced most of it with a flexible hone that slipped over the brittle hard line. Instant fix. I sucked on the hose going away from the ball and I tasted gas. I have some rough idles on some mornings, could these be related?

I had the same problem a few times last summer with the air only blowing out of the front defrost vents. Somehow, it just started working again on its own. I am having a problem now that my blower isnt working correctly anymore. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes it doesnt come on at all. The air is always cool when it does come on but it doesnt come on too often anymore. Any suggestions on what I need to look into first??

a while ago, my clip to my A/C compressor wires broke, and the wire came off. You might check to see if those wires are in goood shape.
