AC plug modification????

Anyone do an AC plug modification? A remember seeing, a long time ag,o where someone bolted a high watt inverter to the inside of the engine compartment and ran the trip switch and AC plug to the cab. Anyone have details on how to do this, pictures and how the wire would be run into the cab?

I think I did what you described..

I took an old APC 550VA UPS and removed the battery (It used a 12V sealed battery). I then hooked up the car battery to the inverter.

Now when I turned on the UPS I had 110V.. When I plugged in the UPS it charged the battery...
