I have bought replacement oxygen sensor for my '97 V8 i managed to replace one of them which was really easy, but i still have to get access to rest of them (cable connectors).

I know you can access them by removing the panel inside of the car, but i am not sure what bolts to remove to get access there with the easiest way, there seems to be parts which are glued/melted together and i don't dare the brake them if it wont lead to access and just break the plastic parts.

Here's few images i took after i removed some of the more easily removable parts and thanks for the help in advance :)

It's been a few years and I don't own my Mountaineer any longer so I will give it my best shot on memory.

1. You have to remove the entire center console. The long black plastic piece the is the duct for the rear passenger A/C vent.
2. You need to unbolt it then unbolt and remove the console.

3. Once the console is out, there will be four bolts holding the access cover on. It is a little hard to get the panel off as there is a rubber undercoating like material between it and the transmission tunnel. No need to worry about it not sealing when you bolt the access panel back down.

Depending on your build, it might be easier to remove the front driver seat as well because it is a tight **** to squeeze between the seat to get to the access panel. My neck and shoulders hurt every time I think about when I did mine without removing the driver seat.

Thanks for the help, i will try to see if i can find all the necessary bolts to remove the damn thing :)
