I am looking at adding rear air to my 1st gen explorer. I want to try and tie into the ducting for the rear heat or create a separate duct for the A/C and pretty much hack up the center console to add two air vents.

What I am curious about is if I need an extra blower to get the air back there?

I am going to see if running the ducting through the interior nicely is going to be possible, by pulling the center console.

Does anybody know where I can get two passenger side 1st gen air vents?

By installing them vertically side by side in the rear of the console they should fit.

Measurements tomorrow.

I don't think rear air was available for the first gen, but I could be wrong.

If not, you might be able to mod something out of a second gen console, but I'm not sure how well that would work without seeing it.
