Adding a message center?

I have a 99 explorer and i was wondering if you can add a message center to it if it didnt have one?

There have been a few people who have done it, if you search you will be able to find their write ups on it.

yes it can be done. i have a 98 sport that i wired a message center into. depending on your skills, it will take you about 6-10 hours, but more then likely, you will not be able to use the oil level function on it unless you want to change your oil pan. as yellowford mentioned, if you do a search on it, you will find lots of info on it.

be aware 98 and up explorer's use a different message center than 95-97
