I will be adding a high flow K&N cone filter soon in addition to a MAF adapter, I had the thought of also fabbing up my own 3.5" intake pipe, but I would have to add a grommet/ hole for the hose that gfoes to my oil reservoir. How hard would this be to do? And how would I go about doing this?

just put a small filter on it and vent it?
should keep the oil from recirculating back thru, and causing build up in the intake

or would this be a bad idea?

Um I'm not completely sure, kinda why I asked. I'd love to just use 3.5" exhaust pipe with a 90 degree elbow. but I'm not sure about adding the piece to it.

Piping like this: http://i.ebayimg.com/08/!BQgy0LgCGk~$(KGrHgoOKjwEjlLmV5FdBJ5RvKpjcQ~~_12.JPG

with a nice 90 degree silicon elbow, then I'd just have to find a way to add the hose

Plces like Oreillys have grommets that you can place in the hole you would drill in your new intake tube for the breather hose.

Well looking through photos of installs this morning, I saw one with a breather filter in place of the hose, I'm just gonna do that, talked to a friend with a nice CAI and he said that's what he had to do, so I'll be fine

I built an intake out of Spectre piping from Pep boys. I ran it into a C&L MAF housing then used an AMOIL filter. Works awsome!

As for the crankcase vent, do as suggested above and slap a breather on it. You will need to drill a hole for the PCV hose tho... or whatever you call that plastic hose. It's a hard plastic

Okay So I'll be getting the MAF adapter and new K&N filter this check. Though I've been reading around and stumbled upon switching to a larger mustang MAF housing. My question is, what size, and then shouldn't I also upgrade the throttle body itself? to the same size? what ould be the effects if any? Sorry for so many questions.

I would spend that money elseware. I do have a bigger MAF housing, but I got it dirt cheap. I really didn't notice much of a difference with it. My throttle body is the stock one bored out then the middle peice is shafted. Unless you're planning on going forced induction, I would spend the funds elsewhere such as exhaust or electric fan

eah I wasn't planning on it, just wanted to see what kinda responses I got. Now what's the benefit of an electric fan? I'd love to do an exhaust, but that just seems like it'd be too much

electric fan benefit's

less stress on the motor as well as a gain in HP & MPG. its a win/win. im in the process of finding the right electric fan at pull-a-part to install.

I am running a Blackmagic fan I scored for $100 shipped off ebay used. Fantastic fan and works great. Keeps the engine cooler, puts less stress on the motor resulting in higher HP and better gas mileage.

Exhaust isn’t that hard to install my friend. Simply swapping out the stock muffler with aftermarket will be a great improvement as stock mufflers are very restrictive due to sound decibel limits. I did all myself. See my sig

I would love a true dual exhaust. But more of a want. If I did another muffler, I want something with a little bit of roar but not to big, any suggestions?

EDIT: I also pulled the intake apart to look at, glad I did, I thought it was all a 3.5" though it wasn't lol. But all I have is the hose going to the oil piece, so all I need is a breather filter.
