I added in 2 lights to the dash lights for my 2 new gauges and it seems to upset the existing dash lights. It appears that the current draw for the existing lights are delicatly balanced as once I add in the 2 new lights the dash lights go out after a few seconds and are not dimmable.
Has anyone had this problem? It appears I will have to add a isolator to the lamps so they don't feed directly from the existing ones.

Comments?

TIA
Kurt

Where did you wire them up to? Got pics?

I added the indiglow guages and a roll/pitch indicator which are all tied with with my dash lights and dimmer with no problems.

I tapped into the wire that feeds the light for the headlight switch, it was the closest dash light to the gauge pod.
It works a little but if you change the brightness it cuts out altogether. If you look at the wiring diagram, all dash lights get fed by one so it shouldn't matter which bulb you tap.
