Hi all my first mod and guess what I'm a little stuck.
Do any of you have pictures of the rear vent set up?
I got the parts from fordonline (left/right vent and the main duct) but on the main duct is a small lever which changes the flow from floor to vent and I don't know were it connects to.
Any help much appreciated.

Hi do yo mean the air dock that is situated in the middle that points the back passenger ?? with the radio control and all that ?

i; v got a picture of the duct but not inside..the duct itself...you want to see it ?

Yes please. They sent me some pdf's but they don't show how it all conects together. A pic of the finnished article may well help me understand whats going on.
Ta.

only rear radio ( didn't know there was anything else )
you see here in the UK they don't offer any other options and the dealers don't know what they are talking about, there are no third parties to talk to either.
Thats why I love this site so!

Thanks for the interest. I've now seen the rear controls (thanks to dan) and I may be able to fabricate some thing. ( or I'll give up and just have them fixed open )
I'm impressed by the speed of reply ( nothing better to do tonight then!)
Cheers to you all though.

Ok got them installed sorry didn't take pics of construction but basically hack vent pipe to fit drill holes in top of existing pipe use lots of duck tape and viola.

Nice work!

I know dan already sent you the pic(s) you needed but I thought I would add mine as well.
Sorry, the pic is large on the screen. I took it at 1280x960 in jpg format.

Thanks thats great unfortunately as I discovered because here in the UK they fit a handbrake lever in the centre console the duct to the rear is very small in diameter so the normal duct (which I ordered) has to be modified to suit and the control part has to be cut off so you get air both top and bottom all the time. Also it is impossible to fit the rear blower fan so you have to rely on the main air flow. Not as good but adequate.

PS I notice that your lever is rusty too mine was out of the box.

That sucks you don't get to use the fan. I know with out the fan mine hardly has any air movement back there. My boys (7 and 3) fight over where it blows, bottom or top vents respectively. I almost wish mine was split just for that reason. I could probably set it up to do it that way I guess.

The rust is just light surface rust as I am sure yours is, too. I guess they figure since it isn't seen when installed it doesn't need to be painted or anodized.

Howie:

Can you snap a pic of your center (centre) console with the handbrake??
Fascinating to us yanks you know.....we don't have it.
Right. Thanks then.

This is all I've got at the momment but I'll take some tommorrow for you.

you can just see the hand brake lever at the bottom

Thanks for the pic!
That's what happens when Ford of England gets involved. You get the sporty floor shift, we in the states get the wanker column shift.

I see you have two buttons on the dash below the rear wiper switch. Is one of them for the rear fog lamp?
