I've recently purchased a 97 EB with 50K miles, in superb/immaculate condition.
I've only changed the oil so far, and put in Synthetic Havoline Formula 3 5W30 Weight.
I recently got a carport, and I've noticed a ticking upon cold start up, I can only describe as when pushing the petal a little, and letting off I hear the normal vroom of the engine, and a little tapping as it winds back down.
Vroom tap tap tap tap........fairly light..
It's possible I did not notice it before, but I don't think so.
Being so immaculately maintained, and only 50K, I can't think of what I could begin to research.
I am very "particular" about my vehicles, and don't like when I discover a new tick or rattle, so this bother me.
I also think it is a little louder from the engine by, when accelerating, like louder exhaust I didn't notice before either. When I've noticed this, the Ac is on, but the radio is not.
Any suggestions where to begin?

I've compared my engine to my dad's 4.6 in his Marquis, and his is of course much smoother, but the same at 50k miles, and he has no unusual sounds.....
