My sons 2001 4.0 explorer caught fire on right side by tranny dipstick and headers.
Truck is back to running order except a/c.
Rear a/c blows fine, nice and cold.
Front a/c barely blows. Can slightly feel it on hand and sounds like blower working.
Any suggestions where to look?
Nothing appears obviously melted.

Thanks in advance,
Dad on a budget

The blower motor housing is right in that area, as are the wires feeding it. If you look about the 4: o'clock position on the blower housing you will see a wire bundle that is held in place with 2 small screws. This is the speed control resistor to the blower motor. Remove the screws to pull it out. I bet it or the wires got singed a bit
