hey everyone, Im planning on doing the "throttle cable mod" tommorow, and I was wondering how I will be able to tell if the tranny is kicking down properly afterwards. Do I just floor it, and see if the tranny quickly shifts to allow me to accelerate?
Thanks,
Andy

You should just notice no slack in the pedel. Not sure on the tranny part.

TTT so that someone else could lend a hand.

Don't mess with the tranny kickdown cable, and you shouldn't have any problems. All the throttle cable mod is doing is taking out slack in the throttle cable so that as soon as you push the gas the throttle plate starts opening. This means that ultimately the throttle plate (on the TB) will open wider. The tranny won't know the difference.

I concur. I did the mod yesterday and it made it so that the pedal didn't have to be pushed down as far to get the same level of acceleration. Great idea and I'm really glad I did it.
