Try and get CCD instead of CMOS. The market is flooded with CMOS models, but the picture quality of the CCD cameras is far superior. CMOS has gotten better but the CCD is still superior.
Explorer_PL. The quality is good of the radio. But i could get a better camera. Its not to good in color or at night. I'm on getting a better quality camera soon.
I want to get a camera with a wider angle. Or place it somewhere higher. I am thinking the third brake light. Right now, I can't see the corners of my bumper.
Explorer_PL, I'm curious how did you get the camera to work with factory NAV unit? Is it the older (non-Sync) nav unit? Somehow I have understanding that only the never versions (Sync) nav units support backup camera option, but I would love to be proven wrong...
You loose some picture quality, and my camera does not grab the whole view; I ma not sure if it is 150, or 170 degree camera. I am going to try probably 180 and mount it higher.
