Aftermarket HU's how long has yours lasted?

I bought my Sony Xplod CD player in 2000,

i had it in my ranger, then i had it in my f150, then my Thunderbird, and now its in my Explorer,


its been in 4 vehicles and its 4 years old,

pretty damn decent i would say

My Sony was in two different cars in as many years.....it did great right up to the day it was stolen. Not sure how it did after that - I never heard from the guy that took it......but I hope it shorted out and burned his car up

had a mid prices pioneer in my first car, 240sx,put it in 1997, still in there and running strong, sounds good, so almost 7 yrs now

now i've added my X to my auto line up, came with pioneer 6300, sounded great, had for almost 2yrs, but i recently upgraded to MP3-kenwood HU, which im def more happy with.

I had a pioneer that worked for 6 years until one day when being transfered between vehicles was dropped... that ended that, but worked great.

Had an alpine last 3 years but then i accidently shorted it out

Current alpine is 8 mo old and doin fine...

Pioneer super tuner 3....about 8 years old and probably 6 vehicles.Still new. Wife's Pioneer lasted about 2 years.

Alpine 3 years old, still just fine. Sound quality is just as good as new. Runs after market speakers and amp/sub.

i can't seem to like one for more than about 6 months at the most... i keep upgrading. so far as i know all my older ones are still running in other peoples cars.

clarion vs715 hasn't gotten to rydinhigh yet, but is definitely still working

and the new clarion dxz945mp i don't think will ship for about another week.
