I recently bought a 2006 XLT and wanted to add running boards. I bought a set from Running Boards Warehouse on Ebay that are supposed to specifically for the 2006 4 Door Explorer. Has anyone installed these - or any other - running boards?

I have not but I would imagine if you bought the made to fit set up as you describe it should be fairly straight forward.
Let me know if you need any more help.

Thanks for the quick reply. I agree that if "made to fit" they should fit. A quick look underneath the truck with parts in hand wasn't exactly confidence inspiring however. Hopefully the weather will warm up a bit in the next day or so and I'll try bolting them up and see how it goes.

keep me in the loop...

Will do. It's supposed to be warmer here on Thursday. Now if I can just sneak away from work for an hou or so.

Running Boards

:exp: Bought mine from ebay also from Running Board Warehouse. The running boards installed on my 2006 XLT real easy. Took about a 1 and 1/2 hours to do both sides.
