Hey all, I've been searching around the forums looking for an answer as to where to mount my temp sensor for my aftermarket water temp gauge but haven't found any "real" answers.

I was thinking of tapping into the water neck at the front of the lower intake manifold. I think the thermostat is probably located in there.

There's an indent like it's almost for another sensor mount.

Opinions?

re:

I am looking for a good location too. I was thinking of putting a same diameter steel, or brass fitting inline / t-fitting on the top radiator hose. There is a metal shop nearby, who I may ask to weld or braze the sensor adapter into a 2" wide by 4" long pipe, and put it inline with the upper radiator hose. I will have to ground the sensor, but it works well with my trans temp gage that i put inline with the trans oil cooler/rubber hose.

I beleive I have seen some folks install a brass fitting for the sensor in the heater hose towards the firewall.
