air bag light on?

my air bag light has been on for quite a while. when i turn the key on the air bag light flashes 3 times then stops for about 2-3 seconds then flashes 6 times.even when the truck is running.any suggestions?


p.s. the wires/plug under my driver seat.....its cut totally from the connectoer.could that be why the light is on/flashes?but if i believe that wire has been cut for a while and the light wasn't on right when it was cut.

ok i just spliced the 2 wires back to the connecter under the driver seat.it was difficult because it was cut right at the connecter.so i has to strip the wires and soder them to the little connection tabs on the plug.but i plugged it in,turned the key forward and then plugged mt xcal-2 in and cleared all dtc codes.(either know the air bag light did not show a code on my xcal-2) but it did not do the 3 then 6 flashes.i didn't want to start it because its parked in the garage thats attached under the house and my parents and son are sleeping.but when i leave for work in the morning it will be the first thing i look at.i'll let ya all know if the air bag light stays off. now i just gotta get the abs light off.....
