What are the dimensions of the S&B air filter that comes with the KKM intake?

Thanks ....

I don't have a clue, but I figured there was a method to your madness, and I was right.

Sorry, I don't keep tabs on your 10 post/day average. ;)

I actually got in touch with my Amsoil rep and Amsoil directly this morning. I'm fairly certain they made a typo on their page. They make the statement Dead Link Removed:

"These filters have flange IDs of 3", 3.5", 4" and 4.5"."

But in the table, they list the same information except they label it "Flange OD (in)".

Obviously Flange Internal Diameter and Outside Diameter are two different things. I'm thinking the table is wrong and should read "Flange ID (in)". That's how K&N, Green and AFE measure theirs. Obviously we need a 3.5" ID flange. (Volant and MAC are the same).

If that's the case, I'm probably going with EaAU3560 because assuming they meant flange ID is 3.5", then it's pretty darn close to the filter that came with my Volant kit. I do know that you also want a 3.5" ID for the MAC replacement, you would have 4 choices assuming Amsoil is in fact wrong in that table. The filter I'm interested in would probably be a tight fit for MAC, but it might work. It's "Top OD" of 5" makes it a bit bulky for tight fits but it should work. My second choice would be EaAU3570 and that would probably work with MAC. It's a bit slimmer and about the same height as the one I want when you factor in the smaller flange length. The 9" version (by height) is definitely too long (I once tried a K&N in that size and wasn't even close). The 5.5" version is pretty tiny.

p.s. come to think of it, I once tried to fit my MAC filter in the Volant box and no go. It's odd shape didn't allow it to fit (too wide if I recall). I think EaAU3560 would work for you as well.

Amsoil fixed the typo on the website. I was right. :D
