Air re-circulate 5 minute timeout

my air re circulation is turning off exactly (i timed it several times over several days) 5 minutes after it's been turned on. Is that the way it's supposed to be? is there a setting for that?

To my knowledge there is no timeer on the recirculattion setting. The Owner's Guide, however, does state that "Recirculated air may turn off automatically in all airflow modes except MAX A/C to reduce fog potential."

Makes sense. Cool feature too. Did not know about this.

I always shake my head when I see people driving around in the winter months, with fog and frost built up on their INSIDE windows. I'm sure they have no clue why. Not realizing they have their "re-circulate" button pushed on thier dash, most likely. I've even seen people driving & scraping their inside windows, to see. Lots of crazy out there.
