Airbag light

One website that has a very thorough explaination of air bag trouble codes, and component locator diagrams is: WWW.Veryuseful.Com. It is mainly for the Mustang, but the information on there could apply to any Ford Vehicle with an air bag.

Al, the next time you have to pull out that resistor under the seat, could you check to see how many ohms it is?

One was 7.3Ω and the other was 7.4Ω

somebody knows about a code #52 from airbag light?

It should atleast be in the "List of Useful Treads" forum. I just PM the mod for that forum asking him to put it in there.

No airbag light has appeared again; knock on wood.

I know the one in my old X is back on again. It seemed to come on again when the seat is moved.

Check the yellow plug under the seat. It might be loose.

Been there done that. I've replaced them twice and have traced the wires back to the airbag monitor looking for shorts. I don't even have the yellow plug connected to the seat anymore and it still does it.

Did you connect the resistor directly to the ABS module to bypass the original wiring?

Nope. I haven't owned it for at least 6 months and haven't driven it for at least 6 months prior to selling it. And I don't feel that connecting the resistor right to the wiring is the proper way of doing things. But that's just my opinion.
