AK LTD's stuff off to the painter's

My son "AK ltd xplorer" is getting some stuff painted. here's some pic's of the stuff removed and what will be painted.

He want's the bug deflector he say's it add's style. i kind agree it add's style and does somthing.(when it's matched)

Leave it off? it was on his x-mas list....lol

He's not doing it because he does not trust himself on larger stuff. He wan't to make sure it hold's up.

they are so easy to remove..i did it in about 30min's..if you would like to know exactly how to PM me..oh god yes i would do it again i don't want ANY black plastic on my truck(within reson)

i can't wait to get them back!!!!!!

i had to remove my morrors, they are electri but very easy to remove once the door panel is off and there 3 bolts are exposed

uhh i havfe a limited my mirror's are nicer then your's..lol mine are heated..lol

yeah i had to reach way up un the door to get to the plug pluging them back together will be fun

The mirrors aren't that hard to remove, just three bolts and one plug. After you get the door panel off of course, and remove the speaker.


AK- If you don't mind me asking, what paint gun do you use to do your painting? I have been thinking about getting one, and I wonder what brands are good.

i dident remove my speaker's just reached my little arm's up in there and did it that way

99..im not really sure it's got so much paint spilled on it..it's older(5 year's give or take) but it does a nice job..let me try to find out

very nice..but black..ugg my grandpa had a 01 black ST..so many scratches when he turned it back in..i told him the next one would be white again so get got a white f-150..much nicer.

but yes black look's nice when it's all shined up!!

Hey AK I'm doing the vents and wiper's tomorrow. Got any quick tips for taking them off/putting them on?

to take the wipers off, there is a little lever you have to pull out. Put the wipers in the up position (so they arn't touching the glass) and you'll see little clips at the bottom. Pull those out and give the wipers a tug.

to get the wiper cowl off just pull it up..on the pass side you just need to pull up on it..on the driver side one there's a screw that you have to remove first then just pull up on it..

i stoped by there today and he now say's some time this week so im just going to stop in on friday and hopfully they will be done
