- 2021 Ford Explorer XLT
Hey everyone, I have a 2021 Ford Explorer XLT with 24,000 miles on it. I had a recall for “Rear Axle main bolt fracture.” so I took it to the dealership and got it replaced. On my way back home it drove a little funny and it was shifting hard between drive selector, and then “Hill assist, ABS, pre-collision, warning, advancetrac service” lights came on. So I called the dealership and they said to bring it back. On the way back all the lights disappeared by themselves, so just drove home that day. A few days later, it’s still drove a little funny, so I pulled it in the shop I work at, and found out that they installed the new bolt and bushing, but the bolt was never actually attached to the pumpkin. So I tightened it up myself, and as I’m looking around the tires, also found out that they never completely tightened the driver rear axle nut. So I tighten that up as well. I pull the vehicle out to do a figure 8 in the parking, and all the lights come back on. I got it towed to the dealership, they said when they pulled the vehicle in the shop all the lights disappeared, they double checked all the connections, couldn’t find anything obvious, they also checked the battery, which turned out good. I picked it up and a week later all the lights are on again.
