Alternatives to the EX

it has a starting price 12000 more than the ex
brianj

I'm not comparing the entrain levels. For a loaded ex 4x4 limited with 302a and 2nd row captain seats, the msrp is $47625. The JX with AWD, premium and Drive asistant package, the msrp is $48650. The differenc is very limited. You get Infiniti name and service, and a beter warrantty, plus you know that JX technology will work. There are slight differences between the two, but very comparible. Both the Ex and JX are wagons, no mattter how you look at it.

Just think if you spend more than 45K, you should get some type of premium service and not beta tester. But I'm still not decided and waiting for the MFT upgrade.

I rented a Dodge Durango Citadel for a 1800 mile trip. Not bad. No electric 3rd row, but had many of the Ex features. Overall, not as "warm" feeling as the EX. Felt more truck like. For some reason gas mileage was better, but I attribute that to lower speed limits thru KY,TN, and OH. Here in the south you can pretty much average about 78 mph on the highways outside of the cities. BTW the Dodge did have a roller cargo area cover...very nice.
