I have a question, I recently put a new alternator in my explorer. I have some mods hooked up so I went from a 95 amp to the 130 amp. However, now my battery light is on, and the battery gauge goes up toi the top??? My mechanic says that now it is over charging. The new Alternater is remanufactured, is this just the sign of a bad alternator or do I have even more worries???? Need help fast, he said if I drive it like this the new battery could be damaged, I plain on changing it today, but I wanna know if there is something else I should look for???? Please help
Thanks

over charging..gese i didnt even know it could do that but that could be a bad alt i guess? well well get u a bump so someone more informed can get u some advice

well if it is overcharging i would suspect it is the voltage regulator if you still have your old alt you can just take off and swap them

Yeah....
Weird.. it turns out it was the alternator, i guess it was a bad regulator inside it, I put a new on in and it works fine. No more over charging love it... hope this helps anyone else with this weird problem.:D
