i have searched on here for a link or helpful information to my problem but i cannot find any.

I have a 92 xlt, the charging meter in the dash dropped out the other day, the car died, and I had it towed to my house. I put a brand new alternator and battery in thinking one of those things would be the problem, but it did not fix the problem. The car will start but die again when the battery runs dead. The alternator is not charging. I had it tested and it tested out fine. is there another problem that might cause this?

any info would be helpful! Thank you all!

Yes I have a scematic of the charging system in my repair manual. I did check the fuses and they checked out fine.

Check the wires from point to point to see if something isn't making contact. There could be a broken wire or a loose connection. Sometimes a little corrosion on a ground contact could mess everything up.

Did you check the fusible links? There is one in the alternator line that will cause the problem you are describing. (Been there..had the problem)
