am radio buzzing

I have an 01 sportie my problem is I cant listen to the am band without hearing static which increases with engine RPMS. bad ground?.isnt there some type of interference filter on the valve cover for my truck if so what does it look like and could it be bad

Yeah check all grounds. I't usually a ground related to the radio or a bad ant or ant cable.
