"RETIRED" 1997 Sport
Last week I emailed Road Armor and asked if they had a rear tire carrier/bumper/can holder for a '97 Explorer Sport.
(If you are unfamiliar with there products take a look http://www.roadarmor.com )
A gentleman by the name of Larry replied to me and this is what he said
" Rod, we plan to release the full explorer line by spring. Keep watching our
site."

The rear bumper/tire carrier combo unit looks very cool. Do you know if they already have it for the '91 models?

Let me know what you find out.
Thanks

I acually kinda like that road armor stuff.... I want!! I like the ones that cover the hood too. How would you open your hood though? hmm... I could cruise around the neigborhood pretending to be Mad Max with that kind of rig... hehe

I sent them an e-mail this morning. I also found some prices on their website for rear bumper and swing-away carrier. They have two options for rear tire carrier: one is center mounted and the other is the swing-away, mounted on the side.

That road armor stuff on the hood looks really like mad max, I'm glad they came out with something like that. But can you imagine the additional weight of the thing and the mileage you'd get with it on!

yeah.. but imagine how much faster you would get everywhere!! You wouldnt have to stop for nuthin!!! :) All you would need to do is bulletproof you explorer and you would be set!
