Ok, I finally narrowed my choice of wheels down to a couple models. I'm going to replace my factory 15" mag with an aftermarket 15" mag and either a 245/75/15, 255/70/15, or 245/70/15 tire (probably the Pirelli ST). I will also be installing new twin tube IAS shocks.
In any case are there any problems with any of the above combo's? Clearance, etc?
What "offset" will I require? Dealer seemed uncertain.
Will I need to recalibrate if I go to a 70 series or any of the above tires?
One of the wheels I'm looking at is an aluminum, welded 2 pc. wheel. Are there are problems with this type wheel? Is stength or durability an issue? I drive 99% highway, rarely off-road. Jersey roads suck.
Give me a classic 1960's something vehicle and I can do everything but rebuild the trans. These new cars are just too dang techno for me and my limited tools. Oh, well I'll get used to it someday, maybe!
