A friend who has followed my tick tick tick sound issue ( http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=203852&highlight=tick ) informed me he had a sound coming from the same area.
Today I went and listened to his sound and damn, when I heard it, I thought he had a diesel under the hood. This sound is just like a diesel accelerating. The sound increases with RPM up to about 2000 and them remains the same.
I have never hear this noise before.
I was worried that it was internal, but when the belt is removed, the sound is gone completely ( sound familiar? ).
Any thoughts on this one?
