Daughter lost the keys to my 94 Explorer. Wondering if the doors and ignition use the same keys as I don't remember. I think it would be a lost easier to pull a door lock and have a locksmith make me a key for it, rather than pull ignition cylinder. Just a thought but, hoping they're the same key.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum. IIRC they do use the same key. I know our 99 Explorer is the same key.

+1 on being the same key, glove compartment lock is different

Thank you for your input. I was thinking the ignition and doors used the same key but, my mind isn't as sharp as it once was!

First look to see if a hide-a-key is under the vehicle.
If you have other ford keys from the era just laying around, might work. The door locks are promiscuous. My original key opens about 1in4 other exlporer doors. Works in about 1in7 ignitions. Opened a club wagon door once too.
