Hi all, have had several Fords over time:
82 F-150 300 ci, man 5 speed OD tranny. Tranny was junk, but lasted 220,000 miles. Couldn't hear my self think towards then end because the tranny was so noisy!!

84 F-250 460 ci, only 80K on her. Old codger bought her to tow a 5th wheel trailer and didn't go very far with her. Still going strong, not too much rust.

98 Explorer with the dreaded "blend door" problem. In the throws of pulling the dash to make the repair. My son may keep this so I opted to do the dirty deed and replace the heater core at the same time.

BTW, I am a MOPAR guy. Sorry, but that's how I grew up. I do have a 64 Chrysler 300K with a built up 413 that goes like a raped ape, even though it's a 4,200 lb car. Kids with rice burners don't expect the launch and sound when I open up the BG Race Demon carb!! A little bit off topic, but I get carried away when talking about her. :D

I found this forum searching for heating problems with a 98 Explorer, this was up near the top of the YAHOO search engine. This was the only site that I could get REAL advice on the problem!!
