i am going to hook up 2 amplifiers...

both are sony 2200gtx (2-channel)
500W RMS x 1 sub @ 4 ohms..(invidually)

so should i get 1.0 farad to give those 2 amps power?

i am planning to use fused power distribution block because it is a lot cheaper than going for farad.. but if farad is REALLY recommended then i will go for farad..

inputs will be appreciated..

thanks
JC

Farad is the unit of capacitance. With those two sony amps, you will not need a capacitor. Just run the positive from the battery to a fused distro block (be sure to use the correct fuse ratings), then from the block to each of the amps. Then ground the amps.

yeah that is what i was planning to do.. so i guess i will go ahead with what was planned.. thanks anyway

if you beleive your electrical systme wont handle the load, upgrade the battery, then the alternator if just a battery wasnt enough. caps really dont do that much.
