Another Tire Size Question

Sorry, I was out of town at the NASCAR race in Bristol.
My neighbor has 265/70-17's on his regular Explorer with no issues.
I just kept the stock size on my Trac when I got new tires for gas mileage reasons.
I have a jetski, 2000 Polaris Virage that I got new.

JohnnyO -I'm looking to get the largest tire without getting a lift kit. Are you saying the 265/70-17's would work for a stock 08 Trac XLT? Thx. New guy here

I just put 285X50X20 on mine and no rubbing etc

I would say if my 2007 takes these you should be fine. I just have a touch of rubbing when turning hard but just on the plastic so no big deal...

Should be okay. Like I said, that's what my neighbor has on his Explorer. It'll slow it down some and the speedo will be off a little (reading about 5 mph slower than you're actually going) but they should fit.

I wore 265/70/17 on my 2007ST and I could hear and feel rubbing whenever I did sharp turns and even when hitting some bumps. I put some "separators" (rings about an inch wide) to make more room for the tires because I could no even make regular turns without getting some rubbing.
I was happy to sacrifice some performce because of the new agressive look of my ST.

New owner here 2009 Sport trac XLT, factory tires 245/65/17 Time to get new one. I was thinking on Cooper 245/70/17 would that be with no modifications?

Our 2008 Limited came to us with P235/65R18, COOPER Discover SRX. I guess they ar O.K., Ours is NOT 4X4.
