Don't get me wrong, I'm a Ford guy but they are known for their transmissions being their weak spots.
Well, I think I'm gonna be having more serious problems here soon if I don't get this resolved. My trans is starting to shift a little funky as in, if I goose it and it kicks down to passing gear and I let off again, it's go through 3rd and then it's starts to shift again but it's like it gets stuck because I'll go to start accelerating and it jumps into a gear. Then it's fine. But it's done that for a while now, if I just stay on the gas even a slight bit while it comes back down to normal RPM it shifts fine.
Now, say I'm driving down the street and actually decide to slow for a speed bump, I'll brake and then after I go over the bump I'll go to accelerate and it's like it was in between gears and it jumps into gear because while I was braking it wasn't in any gear, like it tried down shifting but didn't actually accomplish the task. Does anyone have a slight idea what this is? I have a few ideas that come to mind but I maybe wrong. I just had the trans serviced and it actually was acting better but not now. The problem is, they overfilled it by quite a bit, could this be causing slow shifts or causing it to get stuck like this?
I'm a bit worried about this so any help is greatly appreciated.
