Any one used 265/70x15

Hi from Australia.
Has any one used 265/70x15 on 97shoc 5speed auto explorer with stock rims?
The stock 235/75x15 are a bit small and the 31x10.5x15 that i am running now take to much performance away and make the auto work harder in the hills.

The 265x70x15 tires are a good tire, they are about 10.5" wide, and are only about 30" high. I hope this helps.

265-70-15 are 29.6" tall 265-75-15 are 30.6" tall. Both are 10.5" wide. Can that 1" make a big difference in your performance? I don't really think so, but that little bit of clearance might make a big difference. Why not re-gear? I know it's drastic, but I'd much rather have the biggest tires that fit (properly) than worry about straining my drive train. Good luck,
