I found 3 pictures of our 1992 explorer with 30" tires. Our explorer had over 160k miles on the orig springs when these pictures were taken.. 31's would not fit.. the 30's fit with no rubbing.

31's did not fit huh? i've been hearing so many different things i don't know what to believe, but if you say you've tried 'em then that's all the proof i need. i want to get as big as i can b/c i have 3.73's and i do a lot of interstate driving and i need to drop my RPM's a little. thank you for the pic's. the truck does look really good. by the way, how much did the yokahama's run you? if you don't mind me asking. thanks again

Lots of people fit 31's.. I think our didn't since the springs were so old.. The 30" Yokohama's were about $100 each (about $20 more than the BFG AT KO's)..

the only problem with the Yoko's was that they are too soft. They are great off-road (I want a set for wheeling) but we only got 20-25k miles per set... We have almost 30k on our new BFG AT KO's and they are almost half gone..

if you found bfg a/t for $80, then PLEASE tell me where. the cheaspest i've found is $104. i do like the yoka's but i want something that will go at least 35k, but i kinda want something more aggressive than a/t's.

I went looking for the receipts for the Yoko tires.. I only found them for the 31" tires.. 31x10.50 tires were $124 each.. This is the bare tire, no mounting, balancing etc.. This was last year. I'm not sure if the Ko's where out when I was pricing tires so the BFG tires I was comparing them to may not have been KO's..
