Aside from doing the normal plastic trimming at the bottom I have yet to trim my fenders. I was wondering if it's possible to cut about 1.5" away from the back of my front fenders but yet still leave the factory fender flares there to cover it up?

What do you think?

It won't work. Take your front fender off and stretch it it out by 1.5 inches, and watch how the rest of the fender warps. Also by cutting off 1.5 inches, you have lengthened the cutout, so now even if you could use the flare it would be just alittle short in reaching the bottom of the fender. Nice idea, but it won't work. The flares are designed to fit a certian diameter.

Interesting. Are there any aftermarket fender flares made for something like this?

I wish there were. I have been looking for this for a while. I am now looking to see if I can make some flares from another vehicle make work, since I want to cut 2" all the way around. I would just have to trim the fender to the same shape as the other vehicle. I'm looking at Yota fender flares.

Cool. Let me know if you can find some that would work. Anyone else have any input?

sorry to bring this tread up from the graveyard but I am looking to cut 1-2" off my front fenders fenders to make my 33s actually fit. I also want to put on a fender flare to cover them front and back. Any suggestions like bushwackers for another truck or SUV that would work. I dont really want to go fiberglass b/c I dont know if I really like that look and it is expensive to do front and rear. What I really need to do is cover the tires and make more room and look decent Thanks guys
