I took the X in today to get the centerlink replaced. I was also going to get an alignment done because it's not going quite straight. When I went back a few minutes ago to pick it up, they said that there wasn't any camber adjustment left. They gave me the printout of the suspension analysis, and it says that the left front has -0.4 degrees camber, and the right front has -0.9 degrees! They basically said I need caster/camber plates.

Anyone else had this problem or had to stick in some CC plates? Is this something I can do myself? I'm fairly familiar with CC plates from my Mustang days. If I can do this, where can I get the parts and how much should I expect to pay? The shop quoted me about $46 per wheel in parts and 1 hour in labor ($63.00).

Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks!

I forgot to mention that my suspension is stock.. not raised or lowered or anything.

What the shop is most likely referring to is to replace the upper ball joint eccentrics(sp?). This is most common way of adjusting the caster/camber on the X. It isn't really something you can do at home because you need to determine how far the alingment is out and then determine which (of several) eccentric(sp?) is needed to correct the alingment. The job is a pain in the :mattmoon: and very labor intensive.

I had to have them replaced in my '92 Sport when I had about 60k miles on it. It does happen.
